It investigates the specific provisions related to structural design, material requirements, and construction practices aimed at enhancing the seismic performance of these buildings. The study begins by exploring the global building codes and regulations governing open ground storey buildings. This paper provides a comprehensive literature survey that examines the implications of major international codal design provisions on such structures. However, the design of open ground storey buildings presents unique challenges in terms of structural stability and safety during seismic events. These structures feature an unobstructed ground floor, often used as parking or commercial spaces, with residential or office floors above. Open ground storey buildings are a common architectural design found in many regions worldwide. Roof Systems constructed with both Trusses and Conventional Framing o Structural performance of cladding used for frame bracing per standards, codes and manufacturer specifications.Including upper Storey Wall Construction in both Timber and Steel Walls systems constructed directly on concrete slab and bearers and Floor Joists.Sub Floor Construction in Timber and Steel Floor Systems. The Framing Report included the following areas of construction Relevant Australian Standards were also referenced in this report, as well as learning guides supplied by Holmesglen and loaded onto Brightspace. The set of residential plans from a multi-unit development at Kangaroo Road in Hughesdale and power points of framing used in construction, plus power points of wall, floor and roof framing, were included in this report. This paper is a research and production of a photographic technical report on wall, floor and roof framing for residential and commercial low rise construction using the four step construction process of wall, floor and roof framing.
